All Money must be in by July 24th or your team will be eliminated from the tournament.
This tournament will be closed to the public. You may only play if you were selected by your states team captain. The respected captains are listed below. Contact them to
see if you have been chosen to represent your state:
Illinois #1 – Andy Decaluwe
Illinois #2 – BoB M
Ohio – Zach Gilkison
Wisconsin – Zach Salvat
Minnesota – Chris Swanson
Iowa – Mike Jesiolowki
Indiana – Mike Puch
Michigan - Nick Velissaris
Missouri #1 – Piotr wianecki
Missouri #2 – Dan Key
First off, you guys are the representatives for your team. This means that you are the information exchange as well. Drunken Bear goes to you and you go to your team. If your team does not understand, you are a shitty captain. If they ask us questions, we will be directing them to you.
A lot has changed.
1. NO DIVISIONS because we decided on 7 prelim games.
2. I am setting up (almost done) a random generator for pairings, team matchups, ect. as well as finished a program to keep stats for teams and ALL players involved.
3. Single elimination format (for now) in the playoffs (Top 8). This may be changed if we have time, but count on single elim
This means we need to stay on top of running the tournament and keeping stats cannot be dealing with the idiot kid from Iowa who needs to know what table he is on and what round this is. That is your job. If you cannot do it (Andy) give it someone who can.
***********IMPORTANT PART************
I will call a captains meeting with only 1 representative per team. At this time we will go over format, pairings, matchups, ect.
As a captain,
BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT:
1. Roster updates must be updated before pairings are assigned. If you know a change, make sure we have it in the system.
2. I will need you to be ready to randomly assign each of your players a “PLAYER ID” number 1-10. It does not matter, and will make sense when it comes time
3. I will need your choses pairings for your team if they make finals.
AS YOU SHOW UP/CAPTAINS MEETING:
1. You will be called up to give me this information
2. You will draw a “TEAM ID” number from a hat
3. You will grab a waiver and get your team to sign it and return it
4. You will be explained the scorecard procedure
5. You will be given a list of your Team Opponent Schedule and a list of which members of your team are playing together
DURING THE TOURNAMENT:
1. You ask questions for your team, not them to us
2. You fill out the scorecard and turn it back in to the head table after every round
This event will be sick and everything is already planned out including partner matchups and team pairings (just the numbers so far). When you guys randomly pick your TEAM ID numbers and give me your PLAYER ID numbers then the tournament will be ready to go. Since I have the program and format already, one of you guys will be assisting in picking Michigan’s PLAYER ID numbers and TEAM ID number to eliminate bias.
